Teaching Strategic Experiential Family Therapy

* Quotes by Students

The most scary and exciting thing that happened to me was when I taught for the first time in AIU this model
I had 9 students , all anxious and not knowing what to expect. I felt the same way as they did, but I was willing to risk to give my 100% and my best hoping that that experience would be a growing one , and as I said before I was willing to take that risk.
I created an outline that would teach people my model through experiencing what the model is about and also pushing them out of their confort zone . During the process they expressed different emotions and levels of awareness but one thing I am sure we all grow from our experience together and this is what they have to say about the class and the model.

Cabouli developed in me the confidence I needed move from "student" therapist to therapist. She taught that you need to be yourself first and bring the best of yourself into the therapeutic relationship; the treatment plans and techniques would come later. She challenges you in a way that helps you to define yourself as a therapist. I don't know what my side-talking, or tug-of-war resisting is all about but I could just lump all of that into the category of immaturity and genuine resistance to change.
